Muvin vision is to enable "Payments and Savings" for the underbanked youth (13 – 24 years old) population in India. While India is rapidly digitizing its financial ecosystem, this segment has been left behind and still conducts upwards of 80% of their transactions using cash.

- Parents can monitor and control the allowances of their children and encourage/incentivise goal-based savings.
- Parents would have the ability to take loans for school fees or education loan for college fees of their children on EMI.
- Young adults (18+) can get their first credit experience through early credit card/micro loans in a controlled and guided environment.

Job Requirements
- Solid foundations in Data Structures and Algorithms. Muvin has a lot of complex user flows integrating with multiple 3rd party service providers on a real time basis. Performance of the application becomes paramount importance and this coupled with the sheer amount of data we will end up processing in the Fin-tech domain makes for a challenging environment. We are looking for candidates who are sound in their software fundamentals and appreciate performance oriented programming.
- Experience in tech stack end to end. Software career is not only about being an SME on one stack, gone are those days. You cannot build a good product if you do not understand the journey of a data from source to sink. We believe an engineer by very definition must be able to work across the spectrum of tech stacks in play at Muvin. Having an experience in HTML, JS, CSS, React/Angular, Android/iOS platforms, Java/C++, Spring, ORMs and Databases is a must.
- Responsibility and accountability are 2 key characteristics that we at Muvin highly value. As a professional you are expected to take ownership of your work, do your homework/research on the work given, present the problem at hand with multiple approaches you have tried, what worked, what did not and always raise a hand when you are stuck with an issue. The team is here for all your tech issues, guide you and mentor you.
- Have an "I want to be the best" attitude. We should not stress the importance of this enough since every budding software engineer in today’s world needs to incorporate this attitude in them if they have to “Make It” in the industry but we genuinely encourage people with this attitude, love to guide and mentor them. We believe the next gen with a can do attitude will always keep us on our toes and push us to keep doing better every day. So be willing to learn more and get hungrier by the day.
- Speak out loud. Communication is the key in today’s challenging work environment with the on going pandemic forcing us to work from our homes. So unless you keep communicating on constant basis, we will not know if you need help with something. So we expect you to keep engaging us constantly and no it need not be only work related, it could be fun and or guidance and counselling.
- Bring your own ideas! Its not just a job, it's your product. If the product does well, you do well. Such is the nature of product markets, so all ideas are welcome and if you feel an idea or a feature is not good read the above point. One of the feel good aspects of product development is to see your idea reaching to the masses and being used on a day to day basis! So bring them thinking hats on!

This was all about the interview process. It took me more than 35-40 minutes. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected by the company. Probably, the skill sets they are looking for are not matching with mine, that's why they haven't gone with me. It was a nice experience, the interviewer was really good. Overall it was a 3.5 out of 5 rated interview!
Hope this will help you in future for your Muvin interviews. One thing I can suggest, that be positive, don't worry about the selection, there are hell lot of opportunities. Be brave and put your 100% effort there. Best wishes!
